INGE LÖÖK - THE ARTIST: 

Inge Löök is a Finnish-Swedish graphic designer, gardener and illustrator born in Helsinki, Finland. She began her career in the 1970s and drew the first famous auntie images in 2003. Initially Valentine's cards, they unexpectedly became popular. Löök ponders why these toothless and unattractive old aunties were cherished, and explores their inner world rather than their external shell. “I prefer to stay with them in the small moments they share.”
